The Silence of the Lambs is considered one of the best films in history. It won the Big Five Academy Awards, an honor it shares with only two other films. You would think a film so successful would not find trouble casting its leading actress for the sequel, but Jodie Foster did not want to appear in it.
According to rumours, Foster didn’t like the original ending, but even after the script was re-written, she stuck to her decision and decided not to get back into FBI Agent Clarice Sterling’s shoes. The actress who took on the challenge was Julianne Moore, who later told that the part made her turn to therapy.
