When actress Claudia Wells dropped out of the Back To The Future sequel to care for her ill mother, Universal Studios found themselves in quite a conundrum. The second film picks up right where the first one left off, opening with the same scene the previous ended in.
When Elisabeth Shue was brought in to replace Wells as Jennifer Parker, Marty McFly’s girlfriend, the producers went back and reshot the entire scene again, shot by shot.
