Tommy Jarvis’ character was played by a different actor in each one of the Friday the 13th movies that he appeared in. Actor Corey Feldman played him in Part 4, but when it was decided that Part 5 will take place some years later, an older actor had to be brought in.
Enter John Shepherd, who took on the role for Part 5 but didn’t come back for the 6th instalment, allegedly due to disagreements with the studio regarding his pay. Thom Mathews was director’s Tom McLoughlin choice for the role, and he appeared as Tommy Jarvis in Part 6.
