Before she became a mother, though, Carrie released her fourth album which showed yet another side of the talented singer. Rather than using elements of pop, this time she wanted to go for a rockier sound, and fans loved it. The album had a generally darker atmosphere, primarily because of the lyrics included in the songs. At the time, this was the album she’d had the most involvement with regarding the songwriting, and her skill shone through. Was it possible for Underwood to release a bad album?
