Since the fall, Underwood has faced a lot of uncertainty in her life. Whenever she looked in the mirror and saw her injuries, she saw a person she didn’t recognize. She had no idea whether things would go back to how they used to be, or if she’d be scarred forever. The incident affected her profoundly in ways that we’d never imagined, and she referred to it as a life-changing accident. She’s been a different person since the fall, but she’s trying hard not to let it define her life.
