Most people who suffer an injury to their face would probably feel self-conscious about their looks. For someone in Carrie’s position, though, the problem is magnified. Not only is she a singer, but she also works as a model. Throughout her career, she’s worked for companies like Olay and Almay, but would that stop now that she’s injured? If the fall leaves her with a permanent scar, would people still want her as a model? Underwood hoped so, but she had no way of knowing.
