When you’re as prominent in the public eye as Underwood is, there’s often a duty to do more for the world. Many celebrities do philanthropic work to give back to those in need, and Carrie is no different. After releasing her sophomore effort, she set up the Checotah Animal, Town, and School Foundation. The foundation is set in her hometown and aims to improve life for its residents, a quarter of whom live in poverty. The people of Checotah were so grateful they established a welcome sign in her honor.
