Kelly Hu’s Ozawa is the stern and powerful admiral and commander of the flagship spacecraft USS Olympia, a heavy cruiser that is much more advanced in its weaponry than the Orville. Ozawa crosses paths with the Orville after it defeats Kakov, a Krill battle cruiser, while protecting a new colony on the planet Kastra 4.
In the ship’s wreckage, the Orville team finds a rare shuttle that was perfectly intact. Ozawa then commands Mercer and Malloy to infiltrate the evil Krills’ warship and obtain their holy book, Anhkana, which they do successfully.
