Amy Davidson was only at the start of her career when she appeared on 8 Simple Rules. She’d entered the industry in 2000 and picked up a few acting credits, but it wasn’t until the sitcom that people really started to notice her.
When the program ended in 2005, she began making appearances in all manner of shows, including supernatural drama Ghost Whisperer and the sitcom Malcolm in the Middle. However, her specialty seemed to be police procedural dramas, as she starred in CSI: NY, Criminal Minds, and Bones.
