Mike and Matt are adamant that they were not happy in their own skin before they had surgery, regardless of what their mom thinks about it. They now feel more confident than at any other point in their lives. Feeling as though his original looks and lifestyle were contributing to his low self-esteem, Mike has put those worries behind him. Matt added that due to their poor skin, neither he nor his brother were confident people and were often bullied because of it.
