Psychology professor, Dr. Ted Cascio, has been tackling the theory that going under the knife improves well-being. He stated that following a successful procedure, people will see improvements in their social lives. This can range from compliments by strangers to having the confidence to approach new people, something Mike and Matt can attest to. The study appears to support the twins’ claims that they feel much more confident following their operations, but not all procedures are successful, and complications could lead to lasting negative effects on a person’s mental well-being.
