Joking around generally does not require good grammar skills, unless you are this grammar police officer, on the prowl for bad grammar to correct! Despite setting this person up for a poorly worded response, as they replied appropriately to the ‘knock knock’ text message sent their way, the person sending the initial message thought it would a great punch line would be a grammatical error correction.
There is a time and place to be an English language snob, and a ‘knock knock’ joke is not it!
