The thing about knock-knock jokes is that to successfully pull it off you need to get the cooperation of the person on the other side. If they decide not to play ball just to spite you, well… That’s game over, man. Game over.
The game was certainly over for this person, who refused to answer the door because he knew who was behind it. We concur – it does seem like they’re being jerks. It really feels like they went out of their way not to cooperate too. We think there are some underlying issues there to work out.
