We’re often told that ‘two wrongs don’t make a right’, and this is particularly true in the deployment of passive aggression. While the first post-it note might be overreacting a little to the absence of an ice machine, we’re not sure what the person who responded expects.
Perhaps the initial poster could have made their complaint openly – but you can’t magic an ice machine back into existence by ‘confronting’ and ‘resolving’ your issue. It’s a non-existent ice machine, not a disagreement about which pizza topping is best.
