The hotel worker spoke about one particular day that he came into work on a Friday morning to a typical shift. After working there for many years, he was considered one of the best in the business, who was confident when working in all parts of the hotel – behind the bar, waiting tables, and manning the office. Today, he was due to greet a bride coming into to discuss the last-minute preparations for her wedding that was going to take place the next day, on the Saturday.
This was standard procedure for a Friday afternoon, but little did he know things weren’t going to go quite how they planned. The morning turned into the afternoon, and the soon-to-be bride was due to arrive any minute now.
