Alex is Sheldon’s research assistant at Caltech and is studying to receive her doctorate in Physics. However, Sheldon tends to give her menial tasks instead of actually allowing her to help with his own research. When she meets the rest of the gang she falls for Leonard, hard. Leonard doesn’t seem to notice her advances but Penny does. When she finally asks Leonard out he refuses because he is still with Penny and remains loyal to her.
