The actor left the show before the turn of the century in 1998 but has held his place in the entertainment industry ever since. Deepak has set up Pukkanasha Films – his very own production business that focuses on creating unique, fresh, and innovative movies. During 2010 Deepak launched the FaithShorts competition that sees entries from around the world. The aim of the contest is to inspire young filmmakers to create short movies focusing on their personal faith.
