We already discussed how Jeremy Renner was forced to use his arms in Avengers: Endgame even though he had just injured them while acting in a different movie. But there was another thing that really bothered him.
In the first Avengers film, his character, Hawkeye, was brainwashed by Loki to be a mind-controlled cog. Renner complained about it, and wanted his character to be killed off. It wasn’t what he signed up for, but as we know, Hawkeye eventually got plenty of screen time when he was 100% himself.
