The main appeal of the 99 cents store is that everything inside there costs 99 cents. Or at least, that’s what they say. As far as this store goes, it explains pretty comically that everything in the store is either 99 cents, or more, or less – insinuating that the items inside can literally cost anything.
This happens quite a lot with stores such as these. One person even joked that she once went to a “only $5 store,” and nothing in there actually cost $5.
