Madame Olympe Maxim is the love interest of Hagrid and the headmistress of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. The school comes to visit Hogwarts for the Triwizard Tournament along with the third competition school, Durmstrang. Hagrid quickly falls for her as she is a fellow giant, but she claims that she is only “big boned’. She ends up going along with Hagrid, at Dumbledore’s request to search for other giants throughout Europe and convince them to side with Dumbledore and not Lord Voldemort in preparation for the war to come.
