So this is obviously a tattoo of Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, as portrayed by David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson on The X-Files. We recognized them because of the UFO above their heads. And also because the tattoo artist realized what a bad job they had done, so they helpfully added “F.B.I.” floating in nothingness near the bottom. We certainly didn’t recognize them because the likeness is good. It’s not just that they don’t look like Mulder and Scully so much as they don’t look human. We want to believe… that the tattoo artist profusely apologized and gave this person their money back.
