Your Lie in April (8.83/10 on MyAnimeList)

This anime is fantastic on every level. The art is perfect, the music is insanely good, and the story is even better. However, be warned because this anime will leave you with something to think about afterward and you will definitely lose a few tears (or many) towards the end. Kousei loses his mother at a young age and then becomes incapable of playing the piano, even though he is extremely gifted. But then he meets a young lady who is a violinist and slowly she brings color back into his life. Definitely a must-watch!

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (9.23/10 on MyAnimeList)

Most people have either already watched or heard about FMA due to its popularity. (Just look at that score!) There is definitely a reason it is so highly rated and that mostly has to do with the complex and fascinating story design and characters in this series. If you have not watched this anime before, then perhaps this is the place to start. This anime follows two brothers Alphonse and Edward that got mixed up in Alchemy and paid a great price for it. In an attempt to undo this, they have to fight harder than ever and make many sacrifices along the way, maybe even more than they were willing to make.

The Disastrous Life of Saiki K (8.5/10 on MyAnimeList)

This anime is beyond funny and will have you screaming from laughter in no time. The characters are odd, the stories are peculiar and unexpected, and situations tend to end in surprising ways. This is one of the best animes to watch if you want to relax and have some fun. Kusuo Saiki is a psychic and he has many special abilities. These abilities often get him in rather strange situations, and he uses even stranger techniques to get out of these situations. All that he really wants is an ordinary and relaxed life. Is that too much to ask? Clearly it is.

Ajin: Demi-Human (7.59/10 MyAnimeList)

If you are a big Tokyo Ghoul fan, then perhaps this anime is exactly what you needed! This anime has many similarities to Tokyo Ghoul, a seemingly weak main character that is suddenly placed in a situation beyond his control. After a few hard blows from life he becomes fierce. But instead of ghouls, Ajin are the main focus. They are mysterious immortal humans and they are seen as a threat to humankind. Kei Nagai has only one dream and that is to become a doctor. But as fate would have it, he is an Ajin.
