Since making his acting debut alongside his dad in The Pursuit of Happyness, Smith Jnr has had a pretty good career as an actor, model, and rapper. Will, meanwhile, continues to be a huge box office draw and recently starred in DC’s ensemble comic book caper Suicide Squad.
Jerry and Ben Stiller
This is a rare example where the son is probably more famous than the father. Ben Stiller is one of the most beloved and respected comedians in Hollywood, with a career spanning 25 years, and a host of hit movies under his belt. He has actually appeared alongside father Jerry in four movies; Zoolander, The Heartbreak Kid, Hot Pursuit, and Heavyweights. Jerry has also enjoyed a successful career on the small screen, with a nine-year supporting stint on the sitcom The King of Queens.
Kirk and Michael Douglas
Perhaps the most esteemed father-son duo in Hollywood at present, Kirk and Michael are both legends of the big screen. Kirk was well-known for a number of roles in the ‘50s and ‘60s, most notably Spartacus, and has received 3 Academy Award nominations. Michael has also had a successful career, scooping an Oscar for his role as Gordon Gekko in Wall Street. In fact, Michael’s son Cameron is also a working actor, meaning there are three generations of the same family still working in motion pictures!
Brendan and Domhnall Gleeson
Brendan Gleeson is something of a legend, having acted in blockbusters, as well as some indie numbers. His son Domhnall Gleeson is certainly making a name for himself with his role as General Hux in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, a role he will reprise in The Last Jedi. In fact, both the Gleeson’s appeared in the Harry Potter movie franchise. Brendan portrayed aura Alastair Moody, while Domhnall played the part of Bill Weasley in the last two movies.
