Welcome to the world of Harry Potter. You can even hear the opening soundtrack now as you get excited to see your favorite faces from the wizarding world. There is nothing quite like the world of magic and Harry Potter. It is a world where anything is possible, and no matter how young you are you can still help triumph against evil. The books and the movies take the viewers and the readers to a whole new world. One that is accepting and magical. J.K Rowling (the author of the Harry Potter books, for those of you living under a rock) created this entire world with her own imagination. Some of us grew up with the books, excited for each new story to be released and some of us have only seen the movies. Either way, the characters have become a beloved part of our childhood. From Quidditch matches to Transfiguration class and even to magical fights against the Dark Lord, every part of Harry Potter is enthralling and additive.
As J.K. Rowling said, “Whether you come back by page or by the big screen, Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home.” And boy do these movies make us feel at home. The comforting world of Harry Potter is filled with loving characters like Molly Weasley who is the mother bear of the Weasley family who lovingly takes Harry into her home time and again and makes him feel a part of the family. There is Hermione Granger of course who is ridiculed for her nerdiness and know it all attitude, and even the fact that she comes from muggle parents. But Hermione rises above the ridicule to become one of the most clever and talent witches Hogwarts has ever seen.
The world of Harry Potter is filled with empowered women who fight alongside their male counterparts in battle and are equal to them in every aspect. These ladies seek out death eaters as Aurors or teach at Hogwarts as professors. They band together to join Dumbledore’s army and learn how to protect themselves from the Dark Arts. These women are not only beautiful but they are strong and they are leaders as well. They fight in the Triwizard Tournament and even compete in Quidditch games as the team chaser, just like the unbelievably gorgeous and talented Ginny Weasley.
